Infections can occur on a daily basis in congregate living settings. Outbreaks (a rise over our regular baseline) can cost extra money, time and possibly lives. Being ready for an outbreak on a daily basis can help limit the spread of a pathogenic microorganism. Screening, routine cleaning and disinfection, and restrictions on staff and residents will be discussed.
