This session will review the services offered by the safety management division of the Lifesaving Society and provide participants with resources that they can pass on to operators of public pools that will enhance the safety of their operation. Participants will also review the current training requirements of public pool operators and provide participants with an outline of NEW safety management training options which are available in all pool settings. Included in this presentation will be a discussion will be a proposal to introduce mandatory pool operator certification via municipal bylaws.
